What is Heroes for Heroes?
Heroes 4 Heroes originated from the idea that the world is full of good people, they just need connection to good actions.
In such a fast paced word humanity gets so wrapped up in their individual problems that sometime the bigger picture becomes unclear. We are born to practice compassion, service and love to our race.
The world is full of suffering and if you can assist in helping, the question is why aren’t you?
Heroes4 Heroes is a non profit organisation assisting different charities and organizations in South Africa with awareness, exposure and help for their cause.

The Backstory
When I was younger I never realised that young children could be terminally ill nor did I realise that many of these terminally ill children never had the means and necessities to pay for treatment let alone meet a superhero (something that most children get to do at many birthday parties growing up). However, as I grew older I started to learn more about cancer and the children fighting it. At first it started off with the death of an older boy in my school from cancer, however, soon after I became close friends with a boy whose brother had fought cancer two times and was fighting again. I realised the devastation cancer can have on a person, family and community, even with money. My father is a partner at Scan For Life, a clinic that often helped underprivileged children with cancer. One day I asked him whether we could try and throw our own events to try and bring some joy to the children. That was the start of Heroes4Heroes.
Meet Our Team
Demi Kaplan
Founder and Director
Founder and director of Heroes for Heroes, Demi Kaplan, believes that heroes are created out of the courage and persistence that fosters change. Accordingly, every individual has the ability to become be hero to another, they simply require the opportunity. As such, Demi Kaplan created a non-profit organisation to act as the driving force in connecting companies, individuals and communities with charity organisations and to incite inborn heroes existing in each and every one of us.
Siobhan Incendiario
Director
Siobhan Incendiario from a child has always been involved in fund raisers and charity initiatives. She has completed fund raisers for Hospice, the SPCA, United Cerebral Palsy Association of South Africa, kids kicking cancer and many other charities over the years. Coming from a Marketing background she realized people generally always want to help, they just need direction sometimes. ‘Tell a person there is homeless people going hungry and they will feel sorry for them, ask a person to give you a tin of soup to deliver to a homeless shelter and the feeling becomes an action’. This is how Heroes 4 Heroes bridges the gap in our community – connecting resources to the right charities to assist as many people as they can.
Jay Kaplan
Director of Operations
Jay while studying abroad at Princeston University, used his knowledge and international experience to come on board as Heroes 4 Heroes Director of Operations. Jay oversees day-to-day activities in accordance with our NPO objectives. Has defined, implemented and revised operational policies and guidelines and monitored budget and utilized operational resources.
Jay in addition helps plan and execute fundraising activities and charity events.
